Stalled Michigan roadwork ‘unacceptable,’ House Speaker says

House Speaker Tom Leonard on Thursday urged both sides in a labor dispute halting Michigan road repair projects to sit down and resolve their issues, saying Michigan’s lousy roads must get fixed and time remaining before winter is too short.

Leonard, R-DeWitt, who is running for attorney general, didn’t blame one side over the other, but said the work stoppages “threaten our state’s future.”
